Senior Java/Swing/J2EE Application Developer

OVERVIEW:

To contribute to the development of ehancements to RBT Java/Swing/J2EE
applications. The position will be responsible for executing detailed
technical design, development, unit and integrative testing. The
position will work under the supervision of a development team lead,
and is expected to produce development outputs meeting RBT quality
standards, using RBT's standard development processes and tools.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES:

· Participate in internal design in conjunction with RBT system
designers. · Under minimal supervision, develop new application
functions, or enhance existing functions, according to design
specifications, unit test and integratively test the code produced. ·
Support the development team lead and RBT management by providing
regular status reports on assigned tasks. · Prepare data and test
cases for unit and system integration tests · Participate in code walk-
throughs and quality reviews of deliverables

Requirements: KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

· Expert knowledge and more than 3 years experience in Java, EJBs,
XML, J2EE environment · In-depth knowledge of OO principles · Thorough
knowledge of information technology principles · Experience in Swing
development · Experience in working with Oracle/SQL Server databases,
efficiency in SQL · Experience with software configuration management
process · Working knowledge of JBuilder, Eclipse or similar IDE ·
Ability to interpret designs expressed using UML · Understanding of
the SDLC · Strong problem solving skills · Strong communication skills
· Accuracy/Attention To Detail--Ability to process information with
high levels of accuracy.

· Experience working in a large enterprise environment that includes
the full range of currently available technologies from mainframe to
the leading edge of current technology · General understanding of the
financial business
